NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Tennessee Titans are 0-4 and carry a 10-game losing streak.

But a ticket representative pushing a sale for the new Nissan Stadium set to open in 2027 assured one potential customer in a text Tuesday that fans "are very happy!"

The message came in response to the potential customer's complaints about the 2024 firing of Mike Vrabel, forcing the team further into a rebuild. You show loyalty and you'll get loyalty, he wrote, continuing, I'm just a messenger.

Even if it's a rogue rep, it's a revealing message. Someone in the organization feels that way about the team's priorities, focus and misunderstanding of what the people they ask to spend big dollars want.

And it's not hard to believe that Amy Adams Strunk, who doesn't speak publicly, is sitting back as her team plays horrible football, watching the financials more closely than the scores and stats.

I can't imagine there is a single happy Titans fan.

Also, it isn't factually correct that the team converted all its current members over. I know PSL holders from the current stadium who have not purchased PSLs for the new venue. That lie throws into question other things the Titans are saying, like that 70 to 75 percent of the new building is sold.

“Thank you for flagging this," said Kate Guerra, the Titans Vice President, Communications & Corporate Affairs. "We missed the mark in a big way. These comments have been addressed and we will do better.”

In response to the original version of this story, a second fan contacted me and shared this story from what he endured when cancelling a PSL purchase at the new stadium after he relocated:

"When I questioned the management of the franchise as a whole, I was told that there are no legitimate criticisms for how the franchise is being managed. It was then insinuated that I am just a fair-weather fan making an irrational decision after an 0-4 start. They had no response to my reply that we are 9-36 in our last 45 games."

This rep's text reponse in the first situation angered a lot of people on social media.
