The former Titans scouting director sees better playmakers around Cam Ward and improved depth at several positions, but offensive line, cornerback and safety remain concerns.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – After reviewing the Titans’ initial 53-man roster, I feel Mike Borgonzi has done a good job of acquiring playmakers for their young QB Cam Ward, but also building depth at some critical positions.
Good NFL teams are not built on free agency or first-day draft picks. They are built by finding starters like Fernando Carmona, Marcus Harris and Gunnar Helm on the third day of the draft. Having starters on rookie contracts creates a net positive for a team looking to continue upgrading its roster in future years.
This is not a championship roster or even a playoff one, but it has some positives to build on.
