NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Brian Callahan could make the biggest second-year jump in record for a Tennessee Titans head coach and Cam Ward could have the best rookie season for a quarterback in franchise annals and the team's results could still not be very good this fall.

Those gains should still mean something in the team's patient approach to improvement, especially if the brass has successfully sold Amy Adams Strunk on its plan. How much fans have bought into the methodical approach remains to be seen, and if the team starts slowly, it may be a challenge to hold people's attention, though Ward may have the power to help them do so.

This is where Braden Gall and I spent a lot of time in this week's edition of A Football Show.

Also we look at James Foster's position-by-position ratings and offer our assessments.
