In a year where the Titans are attempting to learn what they have in rookie quarterback Cam Ward, offensive line play is crucial in getting a viable evaluation.

With a new free agency addition playing left tackle, and their 2024 top-10 draft pick switching to right tackle, Tennessee’s edge duo was one of the biggest talking points heading into 2025. Through 11 weeks, in a season where JC Latham’s development was a necessity, his struggles have been a consistent hindrance to the Titans’ offense.

While Latham has been returning from a hip injury that has complicated his evaluation, he has continued to deal with many of the same issues that plagued his rookie year. In a loss against the Houston Texans that dropped Tennessee to a 1-9 record, Latham popped back into the headlines for a multitude of reasons. The first of which is his newfound penalty woes.

Over the course of the Titans' loss to Houston, Latham racked up a debilitating three false start penalties. In addition to drive-killing penalties, Latham also strung together a lackluster performance both in the run game and in pass protection.
