The franchise cornerstone is secured through 2030 with $100 million guaranteed - coming off elbow surgery and heading into a Robert Saleh defense that promises him more freedom to attack.

NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Titans' offseason has been awash with optimism about newness and development.
Friday, the franchise re-established its foundation, extending its best player, Jeffery Simmons, through 2030 with a new deal that includes $100 million guaranteed.
Only the team's two 2026 first-rounders, Carnell Tate and Keldric Faulk, are also under contractual control through 2030, with the team holding fifth-year options for them that would cover that season.
Simmons is coming off February elbow surgery that fixed an issue he's dealt with for over two years and was all smiles when he spoke with the media on Tuesday, a day before the Titans wrapped up their offseason program with a family BBQ.
He spoke enthusiastically about how Robert Saleh's scheme will give him new freedom to attack, potentially allowing him to build on an All-Pro season in which he posted 11 sacks as an interior lineman.
In addition to reaching a new level on the field, Simmons matured as a leader and locker room presence in his seventh season.
For his career, he's got 42.5 sacks, 87 QB hits, 66 tackles for a loss and 27 passes defensed.
“Tennessee has become a second home for me," Simmons said in a statement through the team. "From day one, this organization believed in me, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue to pour into this franchise and community. I want to thank God, my family, my teammates, Ms. Amy (Adams Srunk) and the entire Titans organization for believing in me. My job isn't finished. I believe in this locker room and this staff, and I'm focused on helping this team get back to competing for championships.”
Said GM Mike Borgonzi: "Jeffery Simmons is a pillar for our franchise and embodies what it means to be a Titan. He’s the premier defensive tackle in the National Football League and you win with players like Jeffery. Not only is his leadership on the field what we want our program to represent, but off the field, he sets the standard for our community.
"I’d like to thank Todd France and AJ Stevens with Athletes First for their communication and efforts to get this deal done. I’d also like to thank Vin Marino, Leland Taylor and Dave Gardi for spearheading negotiations that resulted in a win for everyone. This wouldn’t be possible without the support of Amy and the Adams family. You always want to keep your best players and we accomplished that today. We're excited for Jeffery to be here in Nashville for the long haul."
