Through four weeks of the 2025 NFL season, the Tennessee Titans are firmly in the running (alongside the New Orleans Saints) for the first overall pick in the 2026 NFL draft. Between a severely depleted roster, a scorching hot seat underneath the head coach, and a (shockingly) struggling rookie quarterback, things are overwhelmingly bleak in Nashville.

However, among all of the unwatchable two-tone football, one star continues to shine from this excuse of an NFL roster. Titans’ defensive tackle Jeffery Simmons has been a cornerstone piece in Tennessee’s recent years, but so far in 2025, he seems to have taken his game to an entirely new level.

Since entering the league, Simmons has been a dominant presence against the run while simultaneously also being an above-average interior pass rusher. As of this year, he has continued his reign as a top-end run defender, while also developing into an elite pass rusher.
