Jon Robinson and Mike Vrabel got what they deserved.

Tuesday, the Titans announced contract extensions for their general manager and coach. The lengths are unknown, but the duo had deals that ran through 2022.

Amy Adams Strunk is wise to make the move, which was a no-brainer and never seemed in doubt. The two bring the franchise excellent stability.

Under Robinson and Vrabel the Titans are 41-24 (.631) in the regular season over four years. The team just won consecutive division titles for the first time since the first two years of the franchise's existence (1960-61) and have gone to the playoffs the last three seasons.

The 2019 team went to the AFC Championship Game and the 2021 team earned the No. 1 seed in the AFC playoffs and the bye before getting upset by Cincinnati, which is about to play in the Super Bowl.

Vrabel matched the franchise record for wins (43) over the first four seasons with the team, joining Jack Pardee. Vrabel and Pardee also are the only coaches in team history to produce winning seasons in each of their first four seasons.

Vrabel earned 2021 coach of the year honors by the Pro Football Writers of America and could win the same award from the Associated Press on Thursday at NFL Honors in Los Angeles.
