NASHVILLE, Tenn. – In the early stages of Titans’ camp we’re still seeing and hearing about the differences in how things operate under Brian Callahan.
I don’t want to harp on all that’s different from how things were under Mike Vrabel, but a lot of people ask me about it and some things have presented themselves.
Among them is the stress level some players are feeling.

When Will Levis and Peter Skoronski spoke about feeling less stressed in Year Two, there was a lot of context to it. There is a great deal of anxiety built into being highly-drafted rookies, and it was amped up for both of them.
Levis missed some camp with an injury and was later dropped into the lineup to replace a once-successful veteran, joining an offense that offered him poor protection and limited weapons. Skoronski dealt with the pressure of moving from tackle to guard, then needed his appendix removed after his first game and never put all the weight he lost back on.
Being a rookie under Vrabel was especially hard and being hurt under Vrabel was especially hard, so I think the Vrabel-to-Callahan change factors at least a little into things being a bit more peaceful for them.
That’s certainly the case for others who are further along in their careers.
