NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The cranes that have been a perpetual part of our skyline have brought Nashville high-rise office buildings and condos, concert venues and restaurants.

And now they’ve helped make us the 17th metropolitan area in America to host the biggest game in American sports: Music City will host Super Bowl LXIV in February of 2030 to cap off the 2029 NFL season.

Super Bowl LXIV

"The 2019 NFL Draft in Nashville was one of the great fan events in our history," NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell said in a statement. "Super Bowl LXIV at the new stadium is the next step in this remarkable football journey. The vision of Amy Adams Strunk and the Tennessee Titans helped make this moment possible, along with our great partners at the Nashville Convention & Visitors Corp. We can't wait to put on an unforgettable show in 2030."

There is a shine to being a Super Bowl city, and Nashville's spot in line after Los Angeles, Atlanta and Las Vegas will create great anticipation. The hope in Music City is that it will become a regular in the rotation.

THE TITANS HOPE TO BE IN THE REGULAR ROTATION FOR THE SUPER BOWL

Nashville already has the necessary hotels and downtown infrastructure. The Titans will have played three seasons in the new venue before the big game. The development around the stadium will be at a pause point, where it will actually be convenient for the league to take over.

Getting the game is a testament to the market growth, Nashville's ability to host big events and the attractiveness of New Nissan Stadium.

It’s not only natives who never imagined it possible. When I got here in 1997 and walked through downtown, I never could have envisioned it either.

Was there something different about Atlanta or Jacksonville or Dallas after they hosted the Super Bowl?

I don't know and it doesn't matter. There is no question that Nashville is a big league town and a Super Bowl is a major stamp on our resume.

Is it too early to start or renew relationships with ticket brokers?
