Houston linebacker Azeez Al-Shaair wasn’t flagged for a big hit to the head of Cam Ward in last week’s Titans-Texans game, but he was fined $17,389 for unsportsmanlike conduct, a clear admission they missed the call.

This is the eighth known fines for Al-Shaair -- who’s played for the 49ers, Titans and Texans – totaling $118,633.

Two of them came in 2023 when he was a member of the Titans, another in 2024 on a late hit out of bounds on Tennessee’s Tony Pollard.

Al-Shaair was also suspended for three games in 2024 for a hit on Jacksonville’s Trevor Lawrence.
