MOBILE, Ala. -- Every year here the NFL’s draft season officially kicks off with the Panini’s (formerly Reese’s) Senior Bowl. After hiring a new head coach in Robert Saleh and a new leader of the offense in Brian Daboll, the Tennessee Titans will shift their focus on to the NFL Draft.

Whether due to a nation-wide ice storm, an extensive College Football Playoff schedule, or other unforeseen circumstances, this year’s Senior Bowl experienced somewhat of a mass exodus in the week leading up to it. While the loss of many of the event’s top players certainly isn’t ideal, the real value of the Senior Bowl does not lie in flashy first-round players – it lies in finding mid and late-round gems.
