PALM BEACH, Fla. – Taylor Zarzour seems to be emerging as the frontrunner to replace Mike Keith as the play-by-play man on Titans Radio.

Zarzour currently covers major golf tournaments for ESPN Radio and college football and baseball for the network on TV. JP Shardrick is the other top candidate for the Titans job. He works for the Jaguars and their radio network.

The Titans have moved away from the idea of the potential of a hired gun dropping in to join color analyst Dave McGinnis for game broadcasts and their new play-by-play man will have a role similar to that of Mike Keith, who he will replace.

The new hire will be a full-time employee of the team and live in Nashville, though outside work that doesn't interfere with the Titans' gig may still be possible.

The timetable for an official announcement and the new hire joining the team is not yet clear.

He grew up in Mobile, Ala., and began his broadcasting career as a sports reporter for WEAR TV in Pensacola, Fla. From there, he went on to host the Morning Show for Sports Radio 560 in Nashville, Tenn., before returning to Mobile where he served as the program director and afternoon host for Sports Radio 105.5 WNSP.

He also worked in Raleigh-Durham and Charlotte.

Zarzour is a 2020 graduate of Huntingdon College Montgomery, Ala. in 2000. He currently lives in Charlotte with his wife and two daughters.
