NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- After the Titans' loss to the Jets on Sunday, I podcasted from Nissan Stadium.
The popular question was, what quarterbacks have had 11-game starts to their career like Will Levis' and have gone on to success?
So using Stathead, I looked for QBs who started their careers with 11 games in which they threw for 11 touchdowns or fewer, seven interceptions or more and nine fumbles or more.
Levis is one of 32 players since 1970 who meet the criteria.
The big hope, the big outlier is Hall of Famer Brett Favre. Through 11 games, he threw 10 TDs, 10 picks and fumbled 11 times. We know where he went from there.
There are some other guys I thought we might be satisfied if Levis turned into.
Alex Smith would be a home run. His teams went 99-67-1 with him at the helm. He threw 199 touchdowns to 109 picks. He was only 2-5 in the playoffs, but had four TDs in one game and three in another.
And Neil O'Donnell was a successful QB, who led the Steelers to a Super Bowl and threw 120 career TDs to 68 interceptions, starting for eight years before backing up for five more.
But most of the list is not encouraging.
Vinny Testaverde started 214 games in 21 seasons, but his teams were 90-123-1.
It would be disappointing if Levis matched Byron Leftwich, Kyle Orton or Brian Griese.
And the list is loaded with nightmares: JaMarcus Russell, Ryan Leaf, Tim Couch, Carson Wentz, Mitch Trubisky, David Carr.
Have a look at all 31, listed in order of pass attempts in the 11 games in question.
