The Titans wrapped up their first undefeated preseason since 2003 with an exciting – as preseason games go at least – 30-27 win over the Saints on Sunday. The starters on both sides of the ball saw their most extensive action of the preseason.

Will Levis and the top-line skill position players played for two series and scored on both, a touchdown and a field goal, giving them 24 total points out of scores on four possessions this month. However, the first-team offensive line stayed on for three additional series with Mason Rudolph and the second-team skill group, checking out at halftime.

Before we get too carried away with praise for what was an outstanding showing from the Titans first-team offense, let’s note that the Saints chose not to play any of their headliners on defense in this game. The only projected starter to see action for New Orleans was second-year safety Jordan Howden. The next highest-ranking member of the defense to play on Sunday was backup edge rusher and former first-round pick Payton Turner.
