The Titans showed substantial improvement against Philadelphia, but the Eagles converted six third downs of 6 yards or longer to help turn progress into another loss

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The consensus from their coach and in the locker room was that being better didn’t matter inside a loss. And so as the Titans walked away from an entertaining but disappointing game with the Eagles, they didn’t feel any better than they did after a Week One fiasco against the Jets.
They did, however, look as if they belonged in the National Football League. Robert Saleh has talked about getting better week by week, and a 24-20 loss to Philadelphia certainly showed signs of growth.
Cam Ward was more efficient. The defense found two interceptions. Special teams settled down.
“[I] felt like we outplayed them,” Robert Saleh said. “And there's certain moments in the entire game where execution reigned supreme, being disciplined reigned supreme, and … they executed better in critical moments.”
