NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- The Titans recently added Scott Cohen to their staff in a role that will help Brian Callahan with game management.
Cohen, a 34-year NFL front-office veteran, was director of football research for the Ravens, a franchise known for forward-thinking in-game decision-making and use of analytics.
The Jets and Texans have reportedly shown interest in Cohen as a GM candidate in the past.
In Tennessee, he will work with Rob Reiderer, who was recently promoted to assistant director, football strategy -- a role that falls under the player personnel department. He was previously pro scouting coordinator. [Unlocked]
Reiderer is expected to be a reference for Callahan on game days, feeding him information on clock management and analytics as needed. Reiderer and Cohen will work on football strategy using analytics data.
With the Ravens, Cohen's bio said he provided weekly reports to the coaching staff for opponent preparation, in addition to self-scouting, opponent-related research projects and top team/NFL trends. He also evaluated and streamlined different technologies with sport science and analytics as they relate to the coaching staff.
