NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Despite the 0-2 start, I like what Brian Callahan, and the staff are trying to build with the Titans. During this rebuild phase the organization is in, it is important to see growth.  At times that growth will be in huge leaps and in others it will be small steps.

The Titans have made huge leaps with their starting defense. The additions of T’Vondre Sweat, L’Jarius Sneed, Chidobe Awuzie, Ernest Jones and Kenneth Murray are big upgrades at those positions from last season. In Sebastian Joseph-Day, Quandre Diggs and Jamal Adams (though we haven’t really seen him yet) they have added reliable veteran players. The defense is only relying on one young player currently and that is Sweat.

The offense still needs some work.

Part of that is the development of young players like JC Latham, Peter Skoronski and Will Levis. The youth is working beside veteran staples Calvin Ridley, DeAndre Hopkins, Tyler Boyd and Tony Pollard in terms of consistent production with some dominating-type skills.
