NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Treylon Burks went on injured reserve on Oct. 19 after injuring his knee during the practice week. Brian Callahan said Wednesday it was initially a loose ACL but that he ultimately had ACL repair surgery a few weeks ago and is out for the year.

The operation puts into question the start date of his 2025 season, the fourth and final year of his rookie contract with the team. The typical return timetable is nine to 10 months. It often takes players a year after that before they really return to form.

The Titans shouldn't be counting on him for anything even if he was going to be healthy based on his lack of production for two different coaching staffs. But they have only Burks, Calvin Ridley, Colton Dowell (currently on IR as he continues to rehab from his own ACL repair) and Jha-Quan Jackson under contract at receiver for 2025.

Burks was the 18th pick in the 2022 draft out of Arkansas, part of the trade that sent AJ Brown to Philadelphia.

Through three seasons he will have missed 24 of 51 games due to injuries while catching 53 of 99 targets for 699 yards a 13.2-yard average and just one TD and.

He played an average of 35 snaps a game in the Titans' first four games this season with three catches for 24 yards while Nick Westbrook-Ikhine went without a single target. NWI now has eight touchdown catches in his last night games.

Among his injury setbacks have been two concussions, an LCL knee sprain and a sprained patella tendon.
