“Who will be the offensive coordinator?”

In today’s NFL, that is always the first question asked of any defensive-minded head coach, particularly when he’s taking over a team with a promising young quarterback.

For Robert Saleh, that answer is Brian Daboll, an experienced offensive play caller who Saleh described as “perfect for Cam Ward” in his introductory press conference.

Daboll grew up in western New York, just outside of Buffalo, where he played high school football with Brian Polian – the son of longtime NFL GM Bill Polian – and Dave Caldwell, the former Jaguars GM.
