NASHVILLE, Tenn. -- Will Levis suffered a sprain of the AC joint in his throwing shoulder when he dove trying for a first down in Miami on Monday night.

The degree of the sprain is unclear. But I'm told he wouldn't necessarily be able to play if the Titans had a game this weekend but that he should be OK for the team's Oct. 13th home game against the Indianapolis Colts, though he could be dealing with some pain.

Levis left the game in Miami after his injury and Mason Rudolph took over. He didn't do much as the Titans relied on their run game, field goals and defense in a 31-12 win, their first of the season.

My understanding is that Levis received a shot in the tent and could have returned.

Brian Callahan said he decided that with a bye coming and the Titans intent on a run-heavy plan, it was prudent not to let Levis do any further damage.

Callahan made it clear after the game that Levis, who is responsible for nine turnovers this season, remains his starter when healthy.
